Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Universal City, CA
Duration: 7 months contract
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience

Experience analyzing data and business metrics preferably in the Entertainment industry
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent required. MBA preferred
Strong Client Excel skills and high level of proficiency in PowerPoint
High attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently under general supervision

Responsibilities:

Support Finance Director with performing period close duties and accounting analysis (e.g., weekly billing, monthly and quarterly journal entries, weekly invoicing, etc.)
Develop financial models that support systems and processes to fully utilize work force across UPCO to ensure maximum efficiency of all in-house creative services. Also, maintain financial controls across UPCO.
Identify opportunities for simplification and implement solutions for current UPCO finance/operational processes improvements.
On a monthly and quarterly basis, provide performance reports, inter-departmental cost savings, department performance and over-all financial position to UPCO management and communicate performance to finance and operational leaders in business units serviced by UPCO as well as Film Headquarters; Corporate Finance and Human Resources.
Responsible for ensuring employees abide by all administrative procedures to ensure compliance with budgetary targets and over-all company financial goals and objectives.
Lead/assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Ad Hoc reporting and analysis.
