Title: Financial Analyst 1
Location: Vancouver, WA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract (with possible extensions up to 5 years)
Pay Range: $31.98 - $34.96 per hour
Conduct quantitative analyses of financial information affecting operating plans and programs of public or private institutions Track a company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing recommendations and periodic reports.
Position Responsibilities:
Compliance Program Support and Process Facilitation:

Assist in preparation and analysis of monthly financial operations reports.
Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
Assist in analysis of past and present financial operations and evolving business conditions to estimate future revenues and expenditures in support of forecasts, budgets, and other ad hoc analysis.
Assist with monthly and yearly financial closing activities.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial information including financial statements, flash reports, and business unit specific reporting.
Prepare ad hoc analysis as requested.
Enter, transcribe, record, store and maintain financial documentation.
Assist in collecting and maintaining financial data for modeling/data analysis projects.
Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of business and finance.

Position Requirements:
Education & Corresponding Experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Business Mathematics or a closely related technical field is preferred.
6 months of direct work experience in a financial analysis capacity, including all aspects of project support/analysis is required .

Required Technical Skills & Experience

6 months of experience in the following:
Financial forecasting
Working knowledge of automated data systems (i.e., ERPs like PeopleSoft and Asset Suite).
Running queries, generating reports to support management, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in an automated environment.
Researching data anomalies, evaluating information gathered (sometimes from multiple sources), and reconciling data conflicts.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Excellent verbal and written skills sufficient to provide ongoing training and updates to managers, stakeholders, and other customers.
