The City of Emporia, VA seeks a dedicated Finance/Payroll professional to fill the position Finance Support and Payroll Specialist! The ideal incumbent will bring strong organizational/collaboration skills, show eagerness in learning the City's payroll and finance processes, have a team-player mindset, and should remain F.F.C. (Fair, Firm, Consistent) with all staff, stakeholders and citizens.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, and moderate experience in payroll, accounting, and budget preparation. Moderate experience using Microsoft Office software required. College coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred. Experience using Edmunds GovTech, Municipal Software, or other payroll/finance software is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the specific requirements listed above.
