We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to assist with payroll processing, payment preparation, recordkeeping, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate should be organized, accurate, and comfortable handling confidential employee and financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with processing weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.

Review employee hours, time records, deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll information.

Enter and maintain payroll data in company systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

Verify payroll information and resolve or report discrepancies.

Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.

Process approved company payments and prepare checks or payment documents for mailing on behalf of the company.

Print checks, prepare supporting documents, envelopes, and mailing labels as needed.

Verify payment amounts and recipient information before payments are mailed.

Maintain records of payments processed and mailed.

Organize and maintain confidential payroll and financial documents.

Assist with payroll-related questions and coordinate with HR, accounting, and management when necessary.

Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

1–2 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Basic knowledge of payroll and payment processing procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
