HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The International Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting with all aspects of export and import compliance, including licensing and government interface, while ensuring compliance with ITAR and EAR rules and regulations.
This is a remote position for candidates based in the Washington, D.C./Northern VA area.
EXPECTATIONS
· Support the completion of export license applications and agreements
· Track the status of export authorization requests through government channels
· Engage and coordinate with government agencies on licensing and policy matters
· Assist with ECCN classification analysis, including commodity jurisdictions and CCATS
· Prepare export documentation for shipments of hardware and technical data
· Support auditing, reporting, recordkeeping, monitoring, and screening activities
· Provide policy direction, advice, and guidance on export and import activities
ESSENTIALS
· Bachelor's degree required
· 5+ years’ experience in export compliance, with defense industry a strong plus
· In-depth knowledge of export control (ITAR and EAR) processes
· Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment, handling multiple assignments and deadlines
· Experience engaging and communicating closely with government officials and regulatory agencies
· Experience with ECCN classification and analyzing qualifications for export authorizations
· Team player with strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
· Proven success working with government agencies such as DDTC, DTSA, and Commerce/BIS
· Understanding of the technology release process a plus
