KBP Brands is seeking a Division Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple restaurant brands while serving as a strategic partner to Operations leadership. This role combines accounting expertise, financial analysis, and business partnership responsibilities to support performance, reporting, and operational decision-making.
The Division Controller will play a key role in analyzing financial results, communicating insights to operational leaders, and identifying opportunities to improve business performance. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-driven finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys influencing results through strong partnerships.
What You'll Do
Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
Analyze financial results using historical trends, forecasts, and budget expectations.
Identify business trends and provide actionable recommendations to Operations and Finance leadership.
Partner closely with Operations leaders to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
Manage and develop a team responsible for operational accounting activities.
Ensure timely completion of month-end close activities and reporting deadlines.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management activities.
Develop and improve accounting controls, reporting processes, and operational metrics.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
Assist with store-level performance initiatives, cost savings opportunities, and KPI reporting.
Develop a thorough understanding of POS systems and operational reporting to support business objectives.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, or operational finance experience.
Prior leadership experience managing or developing accounting or finance professionals.
Strong financial analysis and business partnership skills.
Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences.
Experience supporting operational leaders and influencing business decisions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with advanced Excel skills.
Experience in restaurant, franchise, retail, hospitality, or other multi-unit environments preferred.
Ability to build relationships, establish credibility, and effectively partner with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Self-starter with a high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
