Job Description:

Overview: The Total Rewards Team at TJX is seeking a co-op student to assist in a variety of department initiatives, day-to-day compensation operations and assigned projects. Projects will generally focus on data analysis and reviewing, executing and improving compensation processes and programs. This role will receive targeted supervision and guidance, but will also provide a degree of creativity and autonomy.


Responsibilities:
• Provide salary recommendations for external candidates, internal offers, promotions and adjustments.
• Support compensation programs through research, analysis, and recommendations to management.
• Conduct initial cost impact analysis for new or changing job structures or bonus targets.
• Create process documentation for current processes and recommend efficiencies as needed.
• Support general compensation processes by generating, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy of required documentation. Support the system set-up and ensures updates are made throughout the process as required. Provide suggestions and recommendations as needed.
• Create and revise job descriptions as needed.
• Research and compile market data to determine the Company’s competitive position. Review with management to identify trends and provide recommendations as required.
• Complete special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.

• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced professional environment; motivated, proactive and flexible
• Effective time management skills to ensure all projects are completed in an effective and timely manner
• Ability to adjust direction under changing business conditions and needs
• Willingness to seek feedback and ability to incorporate feedback to enhance performance
• Ability to create presentations utilizing PowerPoint
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; particularly with Microsoft Excel

This position has a starting pay range of $24 to $25 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
