Automotive Finance Manager - Timbrook Nissan

Timbrook Automotive is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Automotive Finance Manager to join our dealership team. The Finance Manager plays an important role in guiding customers through the final stages of the vehicle purchase process while ensuring financing, documentation, and compliance requirements are handled accurately and professionally.

The ideal candidate is organized, confident, ethical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, financial understanding, and the ability to build trust with customers while working closely with the Sales Department and dealership management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet with customers after the sales process to complete the financing and vehicle purchase process.
• Review customer credit information and assist in identifying appropriate financing and leasing options.
• Work with banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions to secure vehicle financing.
• Submit accurate credit applications and supporting documentation to lenders.
• Review lender approvals, terms, rates, and conditions and communicate available options to customers.
• Present financing and payment options clearly and accurately.
• Explain warranties, service contracts, GAP coverage, protection products, and other available products in accordance with dealership and regulatory requirements.
• Complete all required finance and vehicle purchase documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure contracts and paperwork are completed in accordance with dealership policies, lender requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Verify customer information, signatures, disclosures, and other required documentation before finalizing transactions.
• Coordinate with Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to ensure a smooth transition from vehicle selection to final delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of all finance transactions and required documentation.
• Work with lenders to resolve funding issues, stipulations, missing documentation, and other transaction-related matters.
• Monitor contracts and funding to ensure deals are processed and funded in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of lender programs, finance products, manufacturer programs, and dealership policies.
• Stay informed regarding applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to automotive financing and vehicle sales.
• Protect confidential customer information, including credit, financial, personal, and identifying information.
• Maintain a professional and positive customer experience throughout the finance process.
• Communicate effectively with customers by phone, email, and other approved methods when additional information or documentation is needed.
• Assist with resolving customer questions or concerns related to financing, contracts, and protection products.
• Maintain organized finance records and ensure required documents are properly stored and processed.
• Work cooperatively with Sales, Accounting, Service, Title/Tag, and dealership management.
• Participate in dealership meetings, training, manufacturer training, and other required professional development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional finance office and customer areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or finance-related training preferred.
• Previous automotive finance/F&I experience preferred.
• Previous automotive sales or dealership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive financing, lending, and dealership operations.
• Knowledge of credit applications, lender programs, contracts, and finance products.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information appropriately.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership and lender software.
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with a dealership team.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work the schedule required by the dealership, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as applicable.

Physical Requirements

The position may require the employee to:

• Sit and work at a desk or computer for extended periods.
• Stand and walk throughout the dealership.
• Move throughout the showroom and customer areas.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items associated with normal dealership operations.
• Enter and exit vehicles as needed.
• Work in a dealership environment with frequent customer and employee interaction.

Travel

Occasional travel may be required for:

• Manufacturer and finance training.
• Dealership or company meetings.
• Professional development.
• Other business-related activities as directed by management.

Work Environment

The Automotive Salesperson works in a dealership environment and may spend time in the showroom, offices, service and vehicle areas, and outside on the dealership lot. The position involves interaction with customers throughout the day and exposure to varying weather conditions when working on the vehicle lot.
