NOC is growing its services in Lincoln and the surrounding communities. We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller/Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations in a growing, multi-entity healthcare organization. This role oversees close, financial reporting, and staff, while building scalable processes to support expansion, including new locations and service lines.
Essential Duties: (This list may not include all the duties assigned)
- Lead and support accounting staff, providing structure, accountability, and development
- Build and improve processes, including close checklists and variance-based review procedures
- Oversee accounting for physician practice, real estate entities, leasing entity, and new entities
- Own monthly close across multiple entities (journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements)
- Maintain rent models and tenant allocations
- Oversee payroll accounting and 401(k)/profit-sharing support
- Partner with CFO on reporting, analysis, and operational insight
- Collaborate with Accounting Manager on complex accounting and allocations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA highly desired
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge
- Hands-on mindset and advanced Excel skills
- Experience in multi-entity or growing environments preferred
- Healthcare experience a plus
- Strong communication, forecasting, budgeting and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements/data and ability to translate to operations
Requires bending, standing, sitting, and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, office equipment, and tools. For this position corrected vision, digital dexterity, and hearing to normal range are required.
