Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely invoice processing from EMC Vendors upon completion of work.
Essential Job Functions:
- Accounts Payable responsibilities, including invoice entry, sales and use tax compliance, vendor relations, inquiries and information requests.
- Review and reconcile vendor statements.
- Effectively identify and communicate barriers to success, issues or problems to the Finance leadership team.
- Assist in composing and processing the weekly Accounts Payable check run.
- Actively participate in process flow documentation as well as standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in process efficiency.
- Provide back-up support to the Finance team and assist with projects as needed.
- Support the Finance managers in various related activities, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Proven/verifiable skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
- Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task.
- Possesses dependability, integrity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines.
Education:
Four-year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:
2 years Accounting experience.
Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
