The Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk supports TERI's Finance team by performing a combination of AP and AR functions that help ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations.
This split position is responsible for processing invoices and electronic payments, supporting weekly check runs, maintaining petty cash records and reconciliations, processing revenue transactions, and assisting with Self-Determination billing and contracts. The role is responsible for researching discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting accounting projects and audits.

Your Role & Responsibilities –
- Receive, review, electronically maintain, and enter vendor invoices into MIP Accounting Software, ensuring expenses are accurately coded to the appropriate location, project, and accounting period.
- Support Accounts Payable operations by processing weekly check runs, electronic funds transfers (EFTs), vendor payments, and related payment documentation.
- Administer in-house petty cash, including working with departments to collect supporting documentation and complete monthly reconciliations.
- Support Accounts Receivable functions, including Self-Determination billing and contracts, and assist the Senior AR Clerk with additional billing and receivable projects.
- Process revenue information for Common Grounds Café and Events through Toast Software and ensure transactions are accurately reflected within accounting systems.
- Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies while helping improve and streamline AP and AR processes.
- Provide accounting and audit support as needed while maintaining accurate records, protecting confidential financial information, and assisting with Finance department projects.
Qualifications –
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Mathematics, or a related field highly preferred.
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable experience required.
- Working knowledge of AP and AR processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, account reconciliation, billing, and financial recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review, enter, reconcile, and maintain financial information.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to research discrepancies, manage multiple priorities, and meet recurring accounting deadlines.
- Experience with accounting software strongly preferred; experience with MIP Accounting Software and/or Toast is a plus.

$24.00 - $26.00 Hourly
