Accounting Specialist

Meyn America, a global leader in poultry processing technology, is looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist – Accounts Receivable & Collections to manage critical accounts receivable functions and support the financial success of our organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and collaborating across departments.

What You Will Do

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, invoice entry into customer portals, collections, and cash receipt approvals.
• Create and process customer invoices within the ERP system while ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Monitor aging reports and lead collections efforts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
• Review, reconcile, and investigate cash receipts, unapplied cash, and customer payment discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and accounts receivable reports to support financial reporting and month-end close activities.
• Resolve billing inquiries and collaborate with sales, operations, and customers to address complex issues.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and audit-ready billing and receivable documentation.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve cash flow performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, collection, or general accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and with customers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
