Accounting Specialist

An established organization is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support financial reporting, month-end close, account accuracy, and business performance analysis.

This position is well suited for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can interpret financial information, investigate variances, and communicate meaningful findings to leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with departments throughout the organization while maintaining a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing and financial reporting activities
• Record, review, and substantiate financial transactions
• Help ensure accounting information is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and business drivers
• Investigate variances and prepare clear commentary for management
• Track cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with reporting against established financial and performance targets
• Partner with internal departments to gather and validate financial information
• Identify and support improvements to accounting and reporting processes
• Prepare and review reports for internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience supporting accounting, financial reporting, or analytical functions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Sound judgment when handling confidential financial information
• Ability to build productive relationships across departments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

This is primarily an office-based position involving financial analysis, data entry, reporting, internal collaboration, and regular meetings.
