Accounting Manager

HornBill has a client in Baltimore, Maryland that is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with other accounting department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
• Supervisor and mentor team leads, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
• Manage Cash Receipts and AR invoice cash application
• Manage the accurate filing and remittance of State and Local Sales Tax Returns
• Manage maintenance and organization of Client Tax Exemption and Resale Certificates
• Work with 3rd Party Consultants regarding State, Local, and International Sales and VAT Tax Compliance

• 3-5 Years Management Experience in Accounting
• Prior Tax Compliance Experience preferred
• Prior Full Cycle book-keeping or monthly general ledger experience
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience with Intermediate and Advanced Excel Functions including V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and Macros
• Professional communication between internal and external contacts
