Associate Manager, Accounting Location: Frimley Function: Finance, SSC Contract: Fixed Term About the role This is a fixed term contract position to cover maternity. Reporting to the SSC Manager, Finance, this role is responsible for leading the Accounting Team in providing high quality financial service to a group of company codes, through accurate and timely financial statements, analysis capability, solid financial controls and successful audits as well as identifying and developing a talented and empowered accounting team of analysts. This position is not available for international relocation This position is eligible to work from home one day a week Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely month end and year-end financial reporting Provide explanation of finance accounts, as required by the local or regional Finance members Responsible for the application of policies and internal controls Responsible for Sarbanes Oxley compliance for the SSC processes Responsible for the annual external audit and any internal audit Lead and develop the Accounting team Provide clear direction and empowerment to the team, so they can perform at the expected standards Recruit, train and develop the team members Help to build an environment to stimulate creative thinking and innovation towards continuous improvement Foster a ‘great place to work’ environment Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals for completeness and accuracy Reducing complexity via LEAN methodologies Drive and sustain cross country process improvement and commonality, within the SSC and the local countries Support the management team in implementing the SSC Strategic Vision Lead the weekly Team Huddles Ad-hoc projects as required Experience you’ll bring: Accounting qualification/Finance or Accounting degree Business and accountancy knowledge Leadership skills to manage a growing team Experience supporting senior management Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills Knowledge of SAP, BPC and BW US GAAP exposure Experience working in a multicultural team Fluent written and spoken English Behaviors you’ll need : Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple demands Adaptability and effectiveness through change Cross-country/region collaboration and work with senior stakeholders Results orientation Accuracy and control mindset Value-added/commercial mindset Flexibility and adaptability Initiative and proactivity Anticipating and solving problems What’s in it for you?
