Join us and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products and services to customers worldwide. __________ Position Overview Carr Lane Manufacturing Co. is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to provide day-to-day leadership of the accounting department. This role manages the general accounting functions of a global manufacturer, supports financial reporting and budgeting, collaborates with other departments to develop and improve processes, and plays a key role in the implementation of the company's new ERP system. The Accounting Manager may collaborate with other Carr Lane Manufacturing locations, including international locations.
__________ Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, day-to-day leadership of the accounting department
- Manage general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and account reconciliations
- Prepare management reporting packages
- Assist with financial statements and the annual budgeting process
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and lead collection strategies and efforts
- Oversee the accounts payable process and treasury-related activities, and assist in developing and designing automation procedures within the AP function
- Review bank reconciliations
- Support the implementation of the new ERP system and assist in the design and implementation of improved accounting processes related to it
- Manage and develop an accounting team across multiple locations, including international sites
- Train new accounting team members
- Collaborate with other managers on cross-departmental projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Five to ten years' experience working in accounting
- Experience leading a project and/or a team, demonstrated ability to develop a team
- Knowledge of GAAP financial reporting
- Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity and experience using AI tools to assist in developing reports
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- CPA preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
- Sales tax knowledge a plus
