POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Intern supports the accounting team in mapping out the payroll process for use in AI efficiency generation. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting operations, payroll management, communications, and human resources coordination while developing professional skills in a collaborative environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist with the development and mapping of accounting payroll processes and procedures.
· Support accounting department and human resources, including identifying and tracking processes through various systems.
· Help create process maps of payroll and time sheets to include identifying critical path, which systems are required, timing and location of imports, necessary touchpoints and checkpoints, and key personnel and departments involved.
· Track and compile accounting steps and deadlines for payroll.
· Collaborate with internal teams to support organizational accounting initiatives.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This position operates primarily in an office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional travel or attendance at company events may be required. Work may involve extended periods of sitting, computer use, and collaboration with multiple departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Previous internship, coursework, campus organization involvement, or related experience in accounting, communications, or payroll preferred but not required.
Technical Experience:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Familiarity with basic accounting principals.
· Basic understanding of marketing analytics and content management systems is a plus.
License / Certification: None required.
