Position: Accounting Intern
Compensation: $19.29/hr
Job Summary
The Accounting Intern supports the Finance and Accounting Team with daily accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role assists with financial reporting, bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and administrative tasks, providing practical exposure to corporate accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to developing a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in recording daily financial transactions.

Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.

Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

Prepare journal entries under the supervision of senior accounting staff.

Assist in reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.

Review invoices, receipts, and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.

Encode accounting transactions into the company's accounting system or ERP.

Support inventory and fixed asset documentation as needed.

Assist in internal and external audit preparations by organizing requested documents.

Perform filing, scanning, and other accounting-related administrative tasks.

Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and company records.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Team.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:

Accountancy

Accounting Information Systems

Management Accounting
-
Finance
-
Business Administration (major in Financial Management or Accounting)

Preferably in the third or fourth year of study.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
