Accounting Coordinator

The Kingston Resorts is a 145 acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. As an Accounting Coordinator, you would be responsible for performing applicable retained Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
• Collaborate with SSCs and service provider, as well as partner with SSC to resolve disputes.
• Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed.
• Complete month-end responsibilities.
• Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel.
• Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters.
• Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support.
• Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments.
• AP/AR duties to meet the needs of the accounting department
• General accounting functions, as assigned by manager
• Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• General knowledge of accounting operations and aptitude for figures
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner and listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and provide positive and proactive solutions
• Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs such as Word and Excel
• Ability to listen effectively, speak and write English clearly
• Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after team member begins work
• Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems
• Knowledge of AP/AR practices
• Office machines: operate calculator/10-key by touch, copier, fax, telephone
