About Us Founded in 2015 by Melody Vansandt, Leo Tech LLC is a certified, woman-owned small business built on over two decades of defense contracting expertise. Driven by a people-first philosophy, our CEO maintains an open-door culture-even sharing her direct cell phone number-to foster a supportive, family-like environment. Backed by a leadership team with over 25 years of global operational experience, Leo Tech has operated as a Prime Contractor on more than 25 contracts, meeting dynamic mission requirements with speed and precision.

Mandatory Employment Requirements To be considered, candidates must hold U.S. Citizenship to support this specific government contract and possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. We require high technical aptitude to navigate multiple interconnected software applications. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong performance history under pressure, including the ability to thrive under tight deadlines and achieve mandated production rates.

Core Responsibilities & Daily Duties As an Accounting Clerk II, you will execute financial support and auditing tasks. Your primary focus includes voucher processing-preparing, auditing, and calculating permanent duty and temporary travel vouchers while evaluating military, civilian, reservist, deployment, and school accruals. You will manage financial administration by processing pay-affecting documentation from the Financial Services Office, ranging from debt collection to specialized entitlements.

Daily accounting controls involve determining required transactions, inputting data, tracking Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) rejections, preparing accountability reports, and processing remittance checks. For system management, you will use advanced workstations to transmit and receive data across core financial platforms, including Reserve Travel System (RTS), Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS), Defense Enterprise Accounting & Management System (DEAMS), Financial Management Workflow (FMWF), Commanders' Resource Integration System (CRIS), LeaveWeb, and Microsoft Office. Finally, you will handle case management by elevating complex inquiries or systemic gaps while tracking unresolved cases and contribute feedback to optimize workplace operations.

Post-Training Performance & Production Standards Following a 120-day training window, technicians must work under established deadlines and demonstrate complete mastery of our performance standards. You must maintain a daily processing speed averaging 25 travel vouchers with a minimum accuracy benchmark of 84%. This requires a deep understanding of travel entitlement rules, lines of accounting, travel records formats, and federal reimbursement regulations for Active Duty, Reserve, and civilian personnel. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are vital to resolve inquiries and build internal and external relationships.
