Axiom Staffing is hiring an experienced Accounting & HR Generalist for a growing client in Alpharetta, GA. This position is primarily responsible for accounting and payroll functions, while also supporting key human resources activities. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, payroll knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance (Approximately 80%)
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare financial reports to support executive decision-making.
Payroll
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage payroll taxes, reconciliations, employee deductions, garnishments, and benefit withholdings.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to tax notices.
Human Resources (Approximately 20%)
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs.
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
- Assist with HR compliance and audits related to payroll, taxes, and employment regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting, payroll, and HR Generalist experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments.
- Experience processing payroll and managing payroll taxes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll reconciliation.
- Experience with HRIS, SAP, Sage, and payroll software preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
