We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to work in our accounting team. The Accounting Analyst plays a vital role on the Accounting Team. This role will be a key player in assisting in payroll operations. This role is responsible for managing all PO related accounts payable including analyzing accounts payable data, reconciling discrepancies, and working closely with vendors and internal departments to maintain efficient payment practices. This position will also support other areas within accounting operations such as Accounts Receivable and Payroll. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and collaborative, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and streamline workflows.

Accounts Payable
- Review and process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies, including matching, coding, inputting, routing, and releasing payments.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
- Reconcile accounts payable discrepancies by investigating invoice and payment issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve payment-related questions and disputes.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging schedules and accruals, to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with weekly check runs.
- Support month-end close activities, including accounts payable reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested accounts payable for documentation and reports.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate accounts payable processes, contributing to improved efficiency.
Accounts Receivable
- Post cash receipts to customer accounts and maintain the daily cash receipts file, including all credit card payments.
- Process approved credit and debit memos on a weekly basis.
- Manage the dispute resolution process for shortages, damages, and unapproved customer deductions.
- Prepare month-end journal entries related to credit card payments.
- Submit invoices through EDI and third-party software platforms.
Payroll
- Partner with the Payroll team on payroll data management and timecard administration.
- Maintain record retention requirements for monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll filings.
- Process garnishments through ADP.
- Process and prepare manual check requests in compliance with internal controls and established procedures.
- Assist with 401(k) administration, including employee data management, regulatory compliance, validation activities, and audit support.
- Assist with workers' compensation, audit requirements and insurance renewal forecasting.
- Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and professionalism in all interactions.
- Represent and reinforce OFD's cultural values through daily actions and behaviors.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Generally, Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in Accounts Receivable or related roles, with an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
- Previous experience and ability to work in a fast paced, high volume accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Infor ERP systems a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable principles and processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of spreadsheets and databases is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong experience in Excel, and other software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
