As an Accountant - Level 4 , your role at Dulles, VA will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. FT remote work may be available. Ready to join forces with our visionary team? Roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Prepare accrual and other journal entries to support month and quarter close. Analyze balance sheet composition and flux to support quarterly financial reporting. Reconcile various balance sheet accounts to include unbilled AR and inventory. Review and approve Costpoint access requests to Project Finance. Review and resolve Concur Travel and Expense system coding errors. Perform Costpoint user acceptance and patch testing. Set up projects for indirect efforts. Take a lead role in division quarterly accruals. Tie out cost pools to identify any miscoded cost and prepare journal entries to correct any discrepancies. Support division FP&A department and external FP&A teams with reporting and analysis requirements. Drives continued success by finding and communicating opportunities for efficiencies, process improvement, and/or automation of processes. Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and 8+ years of related experience – OR - 6+ years related experience with a Master’s degree Understanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirements Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional experience in a corporate GL accounting team Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos Analytics Experience preparing journal entries Solid understanding of basic debit/credit mechanics Preferred Experience: Prior experience with cost pool maintenance and tie outs Professional experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry (specifically government contracting) Primary Level Salary Range: $97,100.00 - $160,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
