I. POSITION SUMMARY

  1. Performs financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties listed in Part II.  Performs all Accounting duties for related companies (NMU/NAU).

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The section is not intended to be an all-inclusive list and NGK Ceramics reserves the right to include other duties as assigned):

  1. Process month-end balancing and journal entries
  1. Complete the month-end process
  1. General ledger analysis of accounts
  1. Prepare monthly Standard Reporting Package
  1. Extend credit to customer and handle wire transfers
  1. Prepare sales tax returns for multiple states
  1. Process expense reports for employees
  1. Prepare monthly inventory reports for Inventory Management

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

A.    The Accountant II has no supervisory responsibilities.

V. REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A.    Required Education and/or Experience                                                    

1.     Preferred Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant or Master’s Degree in Accounting

           2.    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial or Business Administration

B.    Required Language Skills                                                           

1.     Ability to read and interpret documents such as comprehensive financial documents and reports.

2.     Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

C.    Required Mathematical Skills                                                      

1.     Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

D.    Required Reasoning Ability                                                         

1.     Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

2.     Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  1. Other Required Skills                                                     

1.     Excellent computer (Excel and Word) skills; exceptional problem solving abilities and good organizational skills.

VIII. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS/PPE

A.    Safety shoes must be worn while on NGK property.

B.   PPE is generally not required while performing the duties of this job.
