DDC Controller
Location: Tallaght, Dublin

We're looking for a DDC Controller to lead the day-to-day operations of our Dulux Decorating Centre in Tallaght. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving sales performance, delivering outstanding customer service, managing store operations, and leading a high-performing team to support both trade and retail customers.

As a DDC Controller, you'll play a key role in growing our local business, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring our Dulux Decorating Centre operates safely, efficiently, and commercially successfully.

What you'll do:
•    Lead and manage all aspects of the Dulux Decorating Centre's daily operations.
•    Drive sales growth by actively prospecting for new trade and retail business opportunities within the local area.
•    Build strong customer relationships and increase share of wallet through excellent service and account management.
•    Deliver against store commercial targets, KPIs, and operational objectives.
•    Monitor local competitor activity and share market insights with the wider Trade team.
•    Ensure customers receive fast, accurate, and professional service both in-store and over the phone.
•    Oversee order picking, stock management, tinting operations, invoicing, and customer queries.
•    Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
•    Manage cash handling, reconciliations, stock counts, and end-of-period operational processes.
•    Coach, develop, and support team members to deliver best practice performance and excellent customer experiences.
•    Support trade initiatives including loyalty programmes, trade events, product demonstrations, and customer engagement activities.
•    Champion health, safety, security, and compliance standards, ensuring a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
•    Collaborate with the wider Trade and Distribution teams to implement new processes and continuously improve ways of working.

What you bring:
•    Previous experience in a managerial retail, sales, trade, or customer-facing environment.
•    Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering sales and service results.
•    Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills.
•    Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a team.
•    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
•    Experience managing operational processes, stock control, and store administration.
•    Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
•    Full clean EU driving licence.
•    Leaving Certificate standard education or equivalent experience.
