Department Description
The Morgan Stanley Bank N.A. (MSBNA) and Morgan Stanley Private Bank N.A. (MSPBNA) are nationally chartered banks (collectively named U.S. Banks) and are material operating subsidiaries of Morgan Stanley, regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
Within US Banks, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function reports to the Bank CFO and is responsible for producing the Annual Strategic Plan and periodical forecasts, leading Balance Sheet and Income Statement efforts for the Banks Annual and Quarterly Stress Test submissions to the OCC, and providing US Banks Management with key financial and strategic analysis to support the Banks global businesses. The role provides a unique perspective on the whole array of Finance and FP&A activities specific to a legal entity.
This position can be based out of the Manhattan or Purchase office locations in NY.
Responsibilities
> Lead FP&A function for consolidated U.S. Banks, MS Bank NA and MS Private Bank NA
> Drive & coordinate the quarterly and multi-year forecasting and planning process including working on the Strategic Plan on behalf of the U.S. Banks.
> Utilize multiple data sources to create management reporting including balance and revenue analysis, expense analysis, and key risk indicators.
> Support the end-to-end Balance Sheet and PPNR processes for the Annual and Quarterly Stress Test on behalf of the U.S. Banks
> Establish FP&A process and capabilities for DFAST
> Drive production & analysis of monthly financial reporting for U.S. Banks including Product Profitability Reporting and ad-hoc requests.
> Develop key analytics to enhance decision making and assist with preparation of materials for the Banks CFO, Senior Management, Board of Directors, and Regulators.
> Collaborate with constituents across Business Units, Corporate, Segment FP&A, Legal Entity Controllers, Capital Planning, Treasury, Strategy, Risk Management in support of the Bank's deliverables
> Expand & improve the quality of data in the TM1 planning analytics platform. Leverage the functionality to create new tools and streamline existing reporting and controls.
> Preparate materials for the Bank's Board of Directors, other Senior Management and Regulators.
> Work with Audit and engage with Regulators, including exams, findings and remediation.

Qualifications
> 8-12+ years of corporate finance experience in the Financials sector
> Bank (Lending, Deposits, etc.) and trading product knowledge (incl. Derivatives) and experience
> Outstanding financial modeling and presentation skills
> Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
> Strong aptitude for numbers and quick grasp of new reporting applications
> Proven ability to operate as both strategic partner and hands-on leader
> Ability to handle multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines with high degree of flexibility
> Effective communication, interpersonal and partnership skills
> Experience with CCAR/DFAST helpful
> Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $165,000 and $275,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is

only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
