Technical Accounting & Sec Reporting Specialist

This role is for one of our clients Compensation: $80 - $120 per hour We are collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage technical accounting and SEC reporting specialists. You'll translate real technical-accounting and external-reporting work into structured, high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason through complex ASC judgments. Focus Areas Technical accounting & external / SEC reporting — with deep, hands-on exposure to the standards (ASC 606 revenue, 842 leases, 718 stock comp, 805 business combinations). Requirements Key Responsibilities Design realistic scenarios from your work — technical accounting memos, technical accounting schedules, SEC filings (10-K / 10-Q), footnotes & disclosures, and applying new/complex ASC standards to transactions Review and compare AI-generated technical outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI reasons about technical accounting Collaborate asynchronously with the research team Ideal Qualifications Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background Deep, hands-on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805) — actual technical-accounting depth, not general audit experience CPA Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong written communication and attention to detail Application Process Submit a resume or a short summary of your technical accounting experience Complete a short form on your practice area, specialties, and certifications Selected applicants may complete a brief sample task We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request. Contract and Payment Terms You will be engaged as an independent contractor. This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule. Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance. Your work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution. Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
