Responsibilities
Your Role:
Prepare Daily Flash Profit & Loss for clients (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, hybrid structures) that trade various securities including fixed income, equities, commodities, FX, bank debt and listed and complex derivatives product types.
Analyze various portfolios that are traded on a daily basis applying different trading strategies and understanding the pricing of listed and complex derivatives product types.
Analyze daily price variances and P&L movements and explain these changes to clients
Verify prices at month end that include listed and OTC securities with varying degrees of complexity
Review and analyze monthly changes in P&L and Price Variances
Understand and explain the P&L effects of open items with the clients
Analyze P&L effects due to the processing of corporate actions for daily and monthly clients
Work with Operations and Back Office Analysts within Citco on any open issues
Work with Citco’s Risk Group and Citco’s Market Data Group to ensure proper P&L capture and risk management reporting
Oversight and preparation of complex ‘Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and investor P&L allocations in accordance with Service level agreements and internal controls
You will form part of a professional team responsible for maintaining the books and records of the funds and preparing fund financial reports and investor allocations.
Work with all team members to improve product quality and consistency
Train and support team members in their development
Maintain detailed knowledge of investment process and products to effectively respond to Investment Manager queries
Act as liaison with various internal/external parties – e.g., Auditors, Brokers, and Investment Manager
Act as a contact point for clients; able to respond to and resolve queries or escalate where necessary. Coordinate with other internal Citco teams on client ad-hoc requests.
Collaborate with team on projects and initiatives. Assume leadership of various Citco initiatives and manage user testing, case analysis and implementation into procedure workflow.
Optimize and enhance existing workflows and production tools, analyze gaps, improve process flows, enhance Excel and Access capabilities. AI savvy a plus.
Qualifications
About You:
3-5 Years in Financial Services with an exposure to P&L Reporting and analyzing portfolio P&L
BS or BA in Accounting/Finance/Economics
Strong financial product knowledge; both Domestic and Global security markets
Knowledge of fixed income/derivative products, financial models a plus
Exposure to Price Verification techniques using independent sources
Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
Demonstrated financial reporting, analytical and organizational skills
Strong Customer Relationship skills
Knowledge of Hedge Funds, private equity
Strong understanding of Excel and Outlook
Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics is preferred
Proven ability to work in a challenging and professional work environment
Flexibility, adaptability, able to solve problems independently
