L'opportunité

Dans le cadre d'un projet majeur de mise en place d'une nouvelle usine, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la stratégie d'approvisionnement des équipements et services requis à la réalisation du projet. À titre de spécialiste en approvisionnement stratégique, vous agirez comme partenaire d'affaires auprès des équipes d'ingénierie et contribuerez directement à l'exécution des activités d'achat, à la gestion des fournisseurs et au respect des échéanciers critiques. Vous participerez à toutes les étapes du cycle d'approvisionnement, de la préparation des demandes de soumission à la gestion des commandes, des contrats et des paiements. Votre travail contribuera à assurer la disponibilité des ressources nécessaires à la construction et à la mise en service de nouvelles installations, tout en soutenant les objectifs de qualité, de performance et d'optimisation des coûts du projet.

Comment vous contribuerez

• Préparer et lancer les demandes de soumission (RFQ) pour les équipements et services requis par le projet.

• Assurer la liaison entre les fournisseurs et les équipes d'ingénierie afin de répondre aux questions techniques.

• Évaluer et comparer les soumissions selon des critères techniques, commerciaux et contractuels.

• Confirmer les modalités contractuelles, incluant les délais, garanties, modalités de paiement et Incoterms.

• Élaborer et maintenir les échéanciers d'approvisionnement alignés sur les jalons du projet.

• Assurer le suivi des commandes, des livraisons et des paiements auprès des fournisseurs.

• Identifier et mettre en œuvre des initiatives de réduction des coûts tout en respectant les exigences de qualité et de délais.

• Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes de projet afin d'assurer l'approvisionnement des équipements et services au moment requis.

• Responsable d’assurer la conformité aux réglementations, procédures et lignes directrices internes et externes applicables.

Votre profil

• Le candidat doit déjà posséder une autorisation de travail lui permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Énergie au Canada.

• Diplôme en approvisionnement, en génie, en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe.

• Expérience pertinente en approvisionnement technique, idéalement dans un environnement industriel ou de projets d'investissement.

• Bonne connaissance de SAP ou d'un système ERP équivalent pour la gestion des achats.

• Bonne maîtrise de MS Project et des outils de planification de projet.

• Connaissance des concepts contractuels liés aux achats, incluant les Incoterms, garanties et modalités contractuelles.

• Capacité à interpréter des spécifications techniques d'équipements industriels.

The Opportunity

As part of a major new manufacturing facility project, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement strategy for the equipment and services required to support successful project execution. As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will partner closely with engineering and project teams to ensure materials, equipment, and services are sourced efficiently and delivered according to project schedules. You will be involved in the full procurement lifecycle, including supplier sourcing, request for quotation management, commercial evaluations, contract administration, purchase order management, and payment follow-up. Your work will help ensure project milestones are achieved while supporting cost optimization, operational readiness, and the successful delivery of critical infrastructure that contributes to the future of energy.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for project-related equipment and services.

• Act as the key liaison between suppliers and engineering teams to address technical inquiries.

• Evaluate and compare supplier proposals based on technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.

• Confirm contract terms and conditions, including delivery schedules, warranties, payment terms, and Incoterms.

• Develop and maintain procurement schedules aligned with critical project milestones.

• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier payments to ensure project continuity.

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and schedule requirements.

• Partner closely with project engineers and stakeholders to align technical requirements with procurement priorities.

• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.

• Degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in technical procurement, preferably within an industrial or capital project environment.

• Working knowledge of SAP or a comparable ERP system used for procurement activities.

• Proficiency with MS Project and project scheduling tools.

• Understanding of procurement contract principles, including Incoterms, warranties, and commercial terms.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications for industrial equipment.

• Bilingualism in French and English is required.
