DETAILS: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Title: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Compensation: Base salary of 60-65k, plus benefits, bonus, 401k, PTO

Location: Pensacola, FL (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)

OVERVIEW: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Seeking a Staff Accountant for management of the day-to-day accounting operations and provide financial details and reports to fully support the management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

• Performs general accounting duties for the organization.

• Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Maintains the general ledger.

• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.

• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.

• Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.

• Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: STAFF ACCOUNTANT

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, preferred.

• At least three years of related accounting experience required.

• Sage accounting software experience preferred, Quickbooks or NetSuite okay.

• Experience with AP/ AR / and managing the General Ledger

• Able to close the books, produce financial statements and reconcile all accounting.

• Strong experience with Excel***
