Staff Accountant

HornBill has a client with an immediate need for a Staff Accountant ready to join their amazing team in Baltimore, Maryland (MD). The ideal candidate will be tech savvy and wants to grow within the company! Responsibilities include:

• Maintain the General Ledger (dollars and statistics) for assigned lines of business and communities
• Prepare journal entries and maintain monthly accounting records
• Reconcile assigned bank and balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and post adjustments in the General Ledger
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of assigned month-end financial reports, including reviewing reports for unusual trends, comparing current month results to prior month and investigating trends
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of assigned schedules for the month-end community financial packages

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline is required with a minimum of 2 years related experience; In lieu of Bachelor's degree, candidate with a minimum of 5 years of related experience may also be considered
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus, but not required
