Staff Accountant

HornBill has a client in the Baltimore, Maryland (MD) area that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. Responsibilities include:

• Journal creation for bank account transactions
• Provide assistance to complete bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts in accounting system
• Maintain cash flow analysis schedule by updating actual and forecasted information
• Assess invoices for payments based upon established criteria
• Recommend weekly and special check runs
• Pay and track company check cards and credit cards

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong demonstrated ability to prioritize, a commitment to tight deadlines, and problem resolution skills
• Experience with SAP Business One is a plus
• Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
• Proficient at MS Office, especially Excel
• Problem solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
