Staff Accountant

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger.

• Maintain sales tax software database.
• Set up new customer accounts.
• Help perform the month-end closing process for all companies.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and corresponding sub-ledgers and bank accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable collections process.
• Assist AP Clerk as needed in verifying and entering vendor invoices.
• Support AP, AR, and financial operations by verifying, entering, processing vendor and customer invoices and payments.
• Verify daily bank transactions as needed.
• Enhance and maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Assist with process implementation and improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to GAAP and other applicable global accounting standards.
• Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, preferred.
• At least three years of related experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Hours Per Week: 40
