What You’ll Do
- Assist in month-end close process for the company; prepare monthly general ledger journal entries; prepare financial statements/analyses; ensure all deliverables meet established deadlines and GAAP compliance with all financial transactions
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities; identify trends/anomalies; research management inquiries; provide solutions to meet business needs
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations; ensure proper supporting documentation and timely resolution of all discrepancies
- Participate in the annual audit process and compliance reporting for federal, state, and local taxing and regulatory agencies
- Establish and implement procedural and process changes necessary to improve accuracy and efficiencies across the accounting department
What You Should Have
- Bachelor’s in Accounting and 2+ years of relevant financial experience (including internships)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work through complex problems and implement effective solutions
- Superior Excel and communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Strong business acumen is a must, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to draw conclusions based on data
- CPA preferred
- We are a hybrid organization with team gatherings in our Brickell office from Tuesday to Thursday every other week. At this time, we are unable to offer relocation assistance.
