Staff Accountant

Job Description

Our client is hiring a Corporate Staff Accountant in Atlanta, GA. This is a great chance to join a nationally recognized multifamily real estate firm that owns, develops, and manages properties across the country. You'll sit on the corporate accounting team and keep the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting accurate and on time. The role covers a lot of ground, from AR and billing to fixed assets and audit support, so you'll see how the whole accounting function fits together. It's a fully in-office role with a growing, high-performing team where strong work gets noticed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for complex transactions under GAAP
• Maintain assigned GL accounts and complete balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies along the way
• Manage customer billing, AR, and aging reports, plus fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
• Support month-end and year-end close and help with internal and external audit requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a corporate, real estate, construction, or similar setting
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP and strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities and work independently
