We are currently seeking a Senior HCM Payroll Specialist to join our team.
This position is responsible for creating a “Premium” experience for customers through timely transition of new customers, direct support of existing customers, support of payroll processing, researching tax issues for customers and providing leadership and knowledge to fellow team members. This role troubleshoots situations, educates the clients, develops relationships, and creates the environment to demonstrate the depth, breadth and level of care that creates value in the Insperity relationship. The Senior HCM Payroll Specialist I provides support to clients, focusing on customer service, core competencies in teamwork and competency of software system required for client support.
Responsibilities:
Adheres to existing customer centric processes and procedures that drive delivery of premium service.
- Initiates proactive calls to customers based on customer satisfaction indicators via satisfaction survey results to address issues.
- Handles larger and more complex customers for reconciliation of wages and taxes, and timely payroll processing.
- Supports processes and procedures to ensure integrity and accountability for SOC-1 compliance.
- Identifies and engages service solutions within and outside Insperity Payroll Services (IPS).
- Identifies, develops, recommends and implements process improvements that result in improved efficiency, effectiveness and cost savings.
- Assists Tax department with research and timely filing of tax returns during peak filing periods.
- Assists with training new team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related field is required.
- Five to seven years of experience in a high growth payroll service bureau operation on-boarding and supporting customers and designing process and procedures is required.
- Customer service experience in a team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem solving/decision making/conflict resolution skills.
- Manages resources to budget and identifies and fulfills staffing needs.
- Possesses broad based exposure to various HR disciplines and understanding of their role and impact on business as it relates to payroll, benefits, taxation, accounting, employment documentation, and employment and general HR practices.
- Proficient in design and delivery of concise and clear presentations to a broad audience.
- Demonstrated ability in handling multiple projects; acts as core business unit expert for key company initiatives; facilitate and coordinate testing and information gathering sessions for valuable feedback.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed.
