Job Title: Sr. Finance Manager, Domestic Compensation Finance
Location: New York, NY 10036 (Onsite)
Duration: 9 Months Possibility of Extension
Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.
Overview:

The Sr. Manager of Domestic Compensation Finance within the Cable Networks Finance team will manage headcount and compensation planning for Domestic Cable Networks operations.
This is a highly visible leadership role and must be able to work collaboratively across the organization engaging with executives from Human Resources (HR), Operating Groups, and Finance. The candidate must be a finance domain expert on compensation expense, providing key leadership in compensation planning, reporting, analysis, and metrics.
This is a crucial role in the organization with financial oversight on a major component of Client annual operating expenses. This position will report to the Vice President of Cable Networks FP&A.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Principal Responsibilities:

Financial oversight of headcount and compensation for domestic operations with over 1,000+ staff employees, including review of commissions monthly payouts
Leverage various financial systems to forecast and report compensation expenses and headcount related to monthly/quarterly closes, periodic forecasting, annual budgeting process, and long range planning
Provide leadership team with information and insights to better plan and manage labor workforce
Partner with HR to align headcount reporting and related expenses to organizational changes
Maintain strong working relationship with various stakeholders:
HR which includes Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Systems, and Generalists
Finance track leads by Groups and Departments
Operating groups
Represent the finance team on initiatives that impact headcount and compensation planning, reporting, and analytics

Skills and Capabilities:

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to juggle multiple and frequently changing priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively across various departments and with various levels throughout the organization.
The accuracy of inputted compensation and headcount data will be an important key performance indicator of this role.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
6-8+ years of financial planning & analysis, reporting and accounting related experience, preferably in the media industry
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
Ability to communicate effectively across various departments and with strong executive presence and relationship management
Strategic and highly analytic mindset that is self-motivated and self-starter
Strong analytical abilities and decision-making skills
Ability to multi-task, adapt to fast paced working environment and deal with ambiguity
Ability to create strong working relationships and work well both as team player and individually

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in Oracle Fusion, Longview, and SAP a plus
Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry a plus
Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes (US GAAP/IFRS)
Strive to identify process efficiency/effectiveness improvement opportunities and propose suggestions and issue resolutions
