Remote with Occasional Team Meet-Ups | Ohio Based

Based in Summit County, Ohio

More Than a Compliance Role

A growing CPA firm is looking to add a senior-level tax professional who enjoys being involved with clients, not just reviewing returns and moving on to the next file.

This role is centered around high-net-worth individuals and business owners, with a strong emphasis on tax planning, advisory work, and long-term client relationships. You’ll work closely with clients throughout the year, while also providing oversight and review of returns prepared by the internal tax team.

For the right person, there is also an opportunity to take on significant leadership and responsibility within the organization over time.

What You'll Be Doing

Serve as a trusted tax advisor to high-net-worth individuals and business owners Work directly with clients throughout the year, not just during filing season Develop and implement tax planning strategies Review complex individual and business tax returns prepared by the tax team Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations Handle higher-level tax questions and client concerns Work alongside the internal team to ensure quality and accuracy Provide technical guidance and support to other tax professionals Build and maintain long-term client relationships Take an active role in the growth and development of the practice

This Could Be a Good Fit If You...

Active CPA 5+ year of experience in public accounting (Tax) Are currently operating at a Senior Manager, Principal, or Partner level — or are ready for that next step Enjoy working directly with business owners and high-net-worth clients Have strong tax planning and advisory experience Are comfortable reviewing complex returns and providing technical direction Want to have a meaningful role in the direction of a growing practice Prefer client relationships and advisory work over a role focused solely on compliance Are looking for a long-term opportunity rather than simply another title

What they offer:

Quarterly profit sharing Midsize environment Competitive Compensation & Benefits 50-hour busy season Strong opportunity for long-term growth and increased responsibility

The Opportunity

This is not simply a position for someone who wants to manage a book of returns.

The bigger opportunity is for a senior tax professional who enjoys being the person clients call, thinking through planning opportunities, and helping shape the future of a practice.

There is potential for significant responsibility and leadership as the organization continues to grow.
