Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Grand View Lodge is looking for a detail-oriented, organized Senior Staff Accountant professional to join our Accounting team. You'll own month-end close activities, manage the full reporting of resort revenue and revenue audit of outlets, support financial reporting, and account reconciliations for review.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Audit daily revenue by verifying and posting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify and resolve posting discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information.
• Prepare and post journal entries as required.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned.
• Review work prepared by other staff members as assigned. 
• Protect company and guest confidentiality by handling all financial information with discretion and integrity.
• Proactively cross-train accounting team to build department resilience 

What you bring:

• Associate degree in Accounting plus at least 5 years of relevant experience could be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
• Hospitality or resort accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to make accurate calculations; proficiency with 10-key and PC required.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and email.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, accuracy is non-negotiable in this role.
• Proven ability to manage time well, meet deadlines, and work flexible hours as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure; you find solutions and stay calm when it's busy.
