Overview:
The Country Club at Castle Pines seeks an energetic, quality-driven, and experienced accounting professional as our Senior Accountant at the Club. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and management staff to assist us in our financing and accounting needs of our Club. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, hardworking, passionate, and eager to take our organizational effectiveness to the next level!
Essential Duties:
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
- Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with analyzing financial statements and report on variances
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
- Assist with quarterly commission reports; analyzing and correcting discrepancies
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Post Various Journal Entries.
- Reconcile multiple general ledger accounts.
- Perform a daily review of cash flow. Provide a Cash Forecasting sheet when requested.
- Set up new members so they have access to a Club charge account and website access.
- Perform accounting tasks pertaining to the new member.
- Perform accounting tasks pertaining to Resigning members.
- Maintain a monthly Membership Report.
- Issue refund checks to resigning Members and assist with monthly membership statements, to ensure they are mailed timely to members.
- Maintain the Beverage Inventory files. Assist in receiving, transfers and adjustments to inventory. Key in monthly inventory counts. Provide departmental snapshot of spending
- Posts Various Journal Entries.
- Assists in the review of the Financial Statements for Accuracy. Prepare monthly Financial Statements. Assist in variance analysis of Financial Information.
- Provides GL account and supplier/vendor analysis upon request for Department Heads.
- Reconciles prepaid expense and accrued expense ledger accounts.
- Assist in setting up new members so they have access to a club charge account and website access.

Education and Experience Requirement:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Finance a plus, a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Degree may be substituted with 5 years of applicable experience.
- Experience with Private Club software (Club Essentials or Northstar) preferred but not required. Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Must be extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with AR, AP, Payroll, HR, Benefits, multiline phone systems
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred but not required
- An eye for excellence. Accuracy and attention to detail will be foundational to success.
- Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
