Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will focus on financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial analysis and accounting, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience building and automating financial models using Power Query. Experience writing SQL queries and working with data analytics tools is also important.

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and actual-to-forecast variances.

• Develop rolling forecasts and annual budgets across multiple business units and locations.

• Analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements, revenue trends, gross margins, operating margins, and cost variances.

• Build, automate, analyze, and troubleshoot financial models using Power Query and advanced Excel.

• Develop financial reporting processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support management decisions.

• Translate financial data into meaningful insights and recommendations for business leaders.

• Support accurate revenue recognition using the percentage-of-completion (POC) method.

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.

• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies.

• Support special projects and other financial analysis initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role.

• Strong understanding of FP&A principles, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting practices.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

• Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting financial models and automated reporting processes using Power Query.

• Ability to write SQL queries and work with financial datasets.

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

• Experience analyzing P&L results and presenting financial insights.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Sigma, Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Oracle.

• CMA, CPA, or MBA.

• Experience supporting complex financial operations across multiple business units or locations.
