Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Sr. Director of Accounting - Controller will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of global accounting and financial reporting by providing leadership, business collaboration, process knowledge and technical expertise to Sandisk Finance. This role will lead our general ledger operations, global close and consolidation processes, and global corporate accounting operations.
This role ideally is based at our HQ location in Milpitas and will likely involve some periodic global travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of professionals who oversee all aspects of the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Lead consolidation of financial results, including preparation of consolidated financial statements, monthly and quarterly close packages
- Responsible for the integrity, consistency and transparency of recorded financial events
- Ensure a strong control and compliance framework with corporate SOX and key controls, adherence to US GAAP and other statutory requirements and support for external/internal audits and reviews
- Scale and standardize accounting processes to support consistent and efficient global operations, driving simplification and automation of accounting activities
- Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities
- Build cross-functional relationships and partner closely with leaders to support business objectives
- Support new business initiatives with accounting requirements, enhancements or development of financial systems to support those activities
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- CPA or Chartered Accountant
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting, corporate accounting and leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP requirements
- Deep expertise in internal control design and execution, along with SOX and COSO frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to build, standardize and scale accounting processes
- Ability to lead through change and decision-making in ambiguous environments
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing or technology companies
- Experience driving finance or accounting transformation initiatives
- History of building, developing and leading high-performing teams

- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
