Senior Compliance Manager (M/W/D)

Your Role at SIXT

You centrally control our group-wide whistleblowing system "Speak Up at SIXT" - from reporting channels (online platform, compliance mailbox, external ombudsperson) to evaluating incoming reports and coordinating internal investigations - ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

You design the human rights and environmental risk analysis according to LkSG or CSDDD, further develop our due diligence framework, including the fundamental statement and Supplier Code of Conduct, and advise specialist departments such as procurement on prevention and remediation measures.

You are responsible for the group-wide, risk-based compliance training program - from e-learnings to in-person formats for management and executives to empowering our Local Compliance Representatives - and manage cooperation with them in our foreign subsidiaries.

You continuously develop our Compliance Management System, conduct regular and ad-hoc compliance risk analyses, derive measures from them, and prepare the results for the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Review Board, and the Audit Committee. In doing so, you drive the digitalization of our compliance processes and specifically use modern tools and AI solutions.

You are responsible for the core areas of antitrust law, sanctions law, corruption prevention (including conflicts of interest, gifts, invitations, donations, and sponsorships) as well as money laundering prevention, including the group's transparency obligations (e.g., transparency register, KYC inquiries).

You are the first point of contact and sparring partner for specialist departments on all compliance-related issues - pragmatic, solution-oriented, and with a clear view of the business - and, as part of the Compliance & Integrity department, work closely with Legal, Internal Audit & Controls, and HR.

Your Skills Count

Academic Background

You have passed both state examinations in law, ideally with honors; a further qualification (e.g., Certified Compliance Officer or LL.M.) is a plus.

Experience

You have sound, multi-year professional experience in compliance - in an internationally active company, a law firm, or an auditing firm.

Investigations

You have experience in processing reports and conducting internal investigations - with tact, discretion, and a sense of proportion.

Communication

You communicate complex topics understandably and negotiate fluently in German and English.

Work Style

You work in a structured, independent, and assertive manner, proactively drive topics forward, and stand up for your convictions with high integrity.
