Senior Bookkeeper (Client Accounting Services)
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Project Management
- Manage and maintain project timelines for assigned client accounts.
- Monitor engagement progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review financial reports for a variety of clients.
- Customize financial reporting packages based on client needs and preferences.
- Assist with onboarding new clients, including documenting workflows, accounting processes, reporting structures, and operational procedures.
- Provide training and support to clients on accounting systems and best practices, both remotely and on-site when needed.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Business Development & Client Relations
- Support the growth of outsourced accounting and advisory services through relationship building and client engagement.
- Assist with preparing proposals, pricing analyses, implementation plans, and project timelines for prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain standardized processes and documentation to promote consistency and service quality.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.
Technical & Advisory Services
- Utilize accounting software and related tools to support client engagements, including:
- QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Payroll
- QuickBooks Desktop
- Bill.com (preferred)
- Stay current on accounting best practices, technology updates, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on accounting software functionality and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting, or related experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required.
- Ability to train and support end users on accounting software and processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
