SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to lead management reporting, financial analysis, and day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger and monthly close, for a growing multi-brand, multi-unit, multi-state food and beverage organization. Reporting to the Controller, this Las Vegas-based role also partners with the CFO and brand leadership to turn results into clear, actionable insight and to support growth initiatives, including new locations, lease decisions, and franchise activity.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in restaurant, franchise, hospitality, retail, or food and beverage finance, is comfortable working at both the strategic and line-item level, and has experience managing remote or offshore teams. This is a high-volume role with frequent ad hoc requests from operations and executive leadership; strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Own the monthly P&L reporting packages and prepare P&L presentations for the CFO, executive leadership, and ownership.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger integrity and review the account reconciliations and supporting schedules prepared by the Accounting Manager and offshore team.
- Manage and develop the contracted offshore accounting team (three staff), including assigning work, reviewing quality, and providing performance feedback.
- Review P&L line-item detail across brands for accuracy, consistency, and variance explanations.
- Conduct monthly P&L reviews with brand and operations leaders, including variance walk-throughs and follow-up on open items.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actions based on results.
- Develop and monitor company-wide and location-level KPIs, including sales, labor, food cost, occupancy, and operating expenses.
- Prepare the 13-week cash flow forecast and support liquidity planning.
- Manage lease administration support, including renewals, percentage rent analysis, and landlord communications.
- Support franchise finance, including franchisee and advertising fund analysis.
- Administer bonus and incentive programs, including calculations, reporting, and payout review.
- Perform bi-weekly payroll and labor analysis and support payroll approval workflows.
- Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from operations and executive leadership, including comp, expense, and location-level questions.
- Develop and maintain finance SOPs and approval workflows covering purchasing, payables, and spend authorization.
- Manage intercompany accounting and shared-services allocations, including coordination with the shared-services provider.
- Partner with the Controller and Accounting Manager on financial reporting, internal controls, tax, and audit coordination.
- Support evaluation and implementation of finance systems and automation tools.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to improve data integrity and reporting capabilities.
- Support the CFO on strategic and cross-brand initiatives as assigned.
