Woodhaven Enterprises is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about financial accuracy, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller and plays a key role in supporting the accounting and finance functions. This position is responsible for reconciliation, review, and analysis of accounting transactions, financial results, operating metrics, and providing financial insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review general journal entries and supporting schedules
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure accuracy
- Analyze financial results and operating metrics to identify trends and opportunities
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Review and analyze internal operating reports
- Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to optimize results
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
- Provide financial recommendations to support business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
