This position offers a clear path for professional development and increased responsibility within a collaborative and growing organization.This hybrid role reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and is based out of our downtown Vancouver office.
What You’ll Do
- Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including supporting schedules, note disclosures, and continuity schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of continuous disclosure documents, including the MD&A, Annual Information Form, AGM materials, ESG-related materials, and other public company filings as required.
- Prepare working papers and analyses for key financial reporting areas such as debt, equity, share-based compensation, corporate accruals, and other complex or judgmental areas.
- Conduct accounting research and draft technical accounting memos for new or complex transactions, with support from the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and external advisors as needed.
- Support external audit and review processes by preparing audit-ready schedules, responding to auditor requests, and helping resolve follow-up items on a timely basis.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to ongoing process improvements, including reporting timelines, templates, controls, and cross-functional information flows.
- Support the preparation of investor communications, including investor updates, press releases, earnings presentations, and financial decks, in collaboration with Finance and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct peer benchmarking and industry analysis to support investor messaging, strategy alignment, and market positioning.
- Support controls over cash movements and assist with treasury-related projects as required.
- Support the preparation of financial materials for other leadership reporting needs.
- Assist with tax filings, including sales tax, corporate income tax, and payroll-related filings such as EHT and WCB, and respond to regulatory and government information requests as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and interest in developing depth in public company reporting requirements.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to financial reporting, audit, and public company environments.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and PowerBI is an asset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly and professionally to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- A proactive, flexible mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in cannabis, consumer packaged goods, startup/high-growth environments, Big 4/public accounting, public company reporting, TSX/TSX-V reporting, or investor relations is considered an asset.

- Base salary of $85K–$95K.
- Annual performance bonus of up to 10%.
