OXMAN Overview

OXMAN is a nature-based research and design company based in Manhattan. We incubate ventures and technologies that reimagine the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Working across disciplines -- from architecture and ecology to materials science and computation -- we develop nature-centric solutions to critical environmental challenges.

Role Overview

OXMAN is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team and report directly to the Controller. This individual will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting function, with an initial focus on developing a deep understanding of the company’s general ledger, supporting the monthly close, owning key account reconciliations, and helping manage accounts payable and cash activity.

As the individual develops familiarity with the business and accounting environment, the role is expected to expand into broader areas of accounting and finance, including financial reporting, systems and process improvement, multi-entity accounting, audit readiness, and exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning.

The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting foundation, is a CPA, and is comfortable operating in a lean, dynamic organization where responsibilities evolve and team members are expected to take ownership, solve problems, and continuously improve processes.
