About the Role: Mindful Health Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance functions. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a key part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the organization’s financial records.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general accounting principles, financial analysis, and multi-state tax compliance. You are highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role involves regular interaction with internal leadership and external consultants, requiring strong communication skills and sound judgment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Support preparation of internal financial statements and reporting packages
- Coordinate with third-party tax consultants regarding income tax and non-income tax matters
- Schedule and monitor all income tax and non-income tax filings and payments to ensure timely compliance
- Maintain tax matrices, calendars and filing deadlines across applicable jurisdictions
- Assist with audits and provide requested support documentation
- Review accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Support process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices
- Collaborate with leadership on financial reporting, budgeting, and operational initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (4-year accounting degree required)
- Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience managing month-end close and general ledger reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables/VLOOKUP function expertise) and accounting systems
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with accuracy and diligence
- Efficient initiative-taker with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and deadline management skills. Strong follow-up skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Experience working with third-party tax consultants and multi-state filings preferred
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
Pay range: $90,000 to $105,000. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The employee may be eligible for bonuses and other forms of compensation.
