Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

Why This Role Matters

As Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of the accounting team, working closely with the Corporate Controller to support a timely and accurate month-end close, maintain clean accounting records, and strengthen financial controls. You will also assist with merger & acquisition (M&A) related activities as we continue to scale.

What You'll Do

• Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries and accruals with detailed supporting documentation
• Own balance sheet account reconciliations; research and resolve reconciling items quickly
• Support monthly financial reporting, including variance/flux explanations and trend analysis
• Maintain general ledger integrity; continuously improve close process and documentation
• Support internal control processes appropriate for a scaling environment
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data accuracy and cut-off
• Assist with M&A activities, including diligence requests and post-close integration tasks
• Leverage NetSuite to enhance reporting, close efficiency, and process automation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Admin (accounting experience relative) Required
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience (senior/staff level)
• Strong month-end close experience and account reconciliations
• ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls basics
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• High ownership mindset (“go-getter”), comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience is a plus
• Able to work onsite at least 2 days/week in Mokena, IL (hybrid)
